In late January 2014, Amelia and Peter had an exhibition of work from ‘Run To Draw’ &  ‘P*A*St’.  The work was shown for two weeks at Cardiff M.A.D.E gallery.

They held a ‘Run To Draw’ storytelling experiment activity, working with children at the gallery.  Around 10 children (and their mums) joined the Run To Draw team in the nearby park and helped to write a spontaneous fairy story on the spot.  It was a fairly democratic process!

Over the next hour, Amelia and Peter ran around the park and the local area illustrating the story as they went spending no longer than 4 minutes per drawing.

Back at the gallery, the children and adults gathered to see the illustrated scroll unfurled for a unique storytelling.

The Story:

Once upon a time... there was a lonely dragon.

The bat is lost so the dragon stews some fruit to make a pungent smell to lure the bat back.
